Curious about raising chickens in your own backyard? This class will provide an overview of the backyard chicken experience, including how to get started, and tips for maintaining a healthy flock.
I'll describe what I've learned after keeping a suburban flock for three years, including rules and regulations (some cities and H.O.A.s have an outright ban on chickens, while others will allow a flock with restrictions - a limited number, only hens, etc.) and the fact that you're likely to need a quarter of an acre (at least) to ensure that you have enough room for your flock. Of course, we'll leave plenty of time for Q&A.
