We’ve made lots of changes to the way we do things over the years we’ve been in business — we opened our flexible Nashville coworking space, cut back on classes and workshops, launched our own entrepreneurship curriculum, added semi-private workstations to our main room, and lots more.
Mostly, we’re trying to respond to what our community responds to, so that they’re a happier community, and we’re a stronger business.
This week, we’re adding another something new, in hopes of encouraging a part of the Skillery community that we’ve loved watching grow.
Our company is run by a small, tight-knit team, and we’ve been thrilled to welcome several other small, tight-knit teams into our crew of members. Back Porch Group is one (they help entertainment companies big and small to focus and grow). Blue Kite Marketing is another (they help businesses get noticed, from branding to PR to social).
If your team is spread out in separate living rooms, or coffee shops, or the overhead at your small office is holding you back, The Skillery might be a perfect place to come together. And we’ve added a new way for you to find out.
We’ve gotten a great response to our weeklong membership trials, and we’ve expanded with Team Trials.
Bring your whole team in to work for a week — settle in to huddle spaces or our conference room, lock down in our communal space and brainstorm with whiteboards, meet our other members (teams or otherwise), and see if having a dedicated workhome makes you fitter, happier and more productive.
It’s a low-cost, no-commitment experience, and, we hope, a fun one.
Like our solo-worker trials, the small cost comes off your first month’s dues if you decide to stick around. For a team of two, a week Team Trial is just $75. For a team of three, $100. (Larger teams, reach out — we can work with you too.)
We have lots of different options for membership, if you find that your team and The Skillery are a good fit — from part-time to full-time, to semi-private workstations and offices, even a membership level that includes a tab with our next-door neighbors and friends, Steadfast Coffee. (There’s a per-month discount for full-time teams of three or more, too.)
Inside our home, we have spaces that are suited for team collaboration, spots to curl up in a comfy chair and concentrate, phone booths for private conversation, a kitchen that feels like a cozy coffee shop, a fantastic sunny outdoor patio and more.
We're also right in the heart of thoroughly (and increasingly) awesome Historic Germantown. Rolf and Daughters is right down the street. So is The Cupcake Collection. And the Nashville Farmers Market.
Sure, we're biased, but we think our home is a spectacular place to grow a business. (And we still haven’t come down off the fact that the Nashville Scene named us Nashville’s Best Coworking Space in the 2016 Best of Nashville issue.)
Feel like bringing your team down for a trial? Reach out to us with any questions, or come by 1323 6th Ave. N. and chat with our concierge, Michaela. She’ll set you up. And direct you to treats. Maybe introduce you to a T-Rex or two.
