Thanks to Kathleen Cotter, cheese lovers in Nashville now have easy access to the good stuff — sharp and bite-y cheeses, funky and stinky cheeses, creamy and mild cheeses, cow’s and goat’s and sheep’s milk cheeses and on and on.
We weren’t always so flush with cheesy goodness, but in 2011, Cotter opened The Bloomy Rind cheese shop in East Nashville and launched the Southern Artisan Cheese Festival, both selling and celebrating unique artisan cheese daily and annually here in town. So the dairy-devoted of Nashville owe Cotter some gratitude.
The fifth annual Southern Artisan Cheese Festival is coming up on Saturday, September 12, and if you’d like to head over to Rocketown to share your thanks and sample cheeses from 40-plus regional artisans (along with beer wine and other food), tickets are on sale now.
Thanks to the ever-generous cheesemonger, we’re also delighted to get to send a Skillery friend and their guest to the festival, VIP-style.
Enter through the form below for a chance to win a pair of VIP Southern Artisan Cheese Festival tickets. We’ll announce a lucky winner on Friday, September 11.

Good luck — hope to see you there!
